I’m Back (in 2025)

All I can think of to write here is, "Don't count me out, coach!!"

Since the Maui fires in 2023 to breast cancer this year, I'm feeling it, guys. I've got the comfy pants on, and I'm well past FUCKIT. I'm in new territory that feels a lot like triage. It goes into the Don't Care file if it doesn't directly affect whether I live or die.

PHEW.

But.

There are signs of life and joy returning as I look to the future.

While I take this time to recover mentally (physically, I'm top-notch, and all the doctors are happy and high-fiving), I'm planning for 2025. First on the publishing docket is Legend 3, The Legend of the Brotherhood. This poor, sweet little manuscript has been waiting to be published for ages. The goal is to get it out as soon as possible to the editor, then we can start pre-orders.

Next, I will start writing to you again through my author newsletter. We had some significant milestones last year that I think you'd like to know. Legend went international with its bestselling status and hit the #1 spot in its category in Canada. It's been an Amazon US and Canada featured title twice, and this December, we scored that spot again in Canada.

After Legend 3 on the 2025 publication docket is the debut of another series that inhabits a whole other genre: Goodnight Raine. (Check out the blurb here on the books page under 'Coming next…'). Then it's back to Scotland and the world of Rowan and Cole with another series called The Blackhart Brothers, the first of which I hope to preview on the back end of Legend 3, The Legend of the Brotherhood. It’s a luscious botanical wonder. I think you’re gonna love it!

But first, let's do something that needed to be done this summer: show off all the new book covers!

Aren't they gorgeous!? I had been searching high and low for a pro who shared my vision for the big re-cover project of 2024, and I found them. A big shout out to Brian Egan at Bookfly Designs. He's a mega talent, and I'm honored to have gotten on their schedule. I'm pretty sure Legend's new covers were one of the reasons it topped the charts again.

Serendipity of Fate is my new favorite re-cover. You can see that it's going to be a heartbreaker, with drama halfway through, like a Nicholas Sparks book. But unlike Nick, Serendipity has a happy ending. It's hard-won, but it's happy.

Forged and Flux, these guys took some time. I usually don't put faces on my covers—I like you to make your own visualizations about the characters—but with these two, I thought it was important to put the women who drive the story on the cover. Like all boss babes, they carry the whole show.

Last but not least, the newest title, The Legend of the Brotherhood, has yet to be formally revealed, but once we have it available for pre-order, we'll reveal the cover. Though… we've got it out in one or two super secret places… let's see if you can find it. 😀

Which one is your favorite?

Yours in good health and writing,
